Morning also offers clear, cool light ideal for photography — the low-angle early sun casts long shadows across the rocky terrain, revealing textures and shapes that disappear in the flat midday glare. The Case for an Evening/Sunset Excursion

Evening tours depart around 3:30–4pm and typically finish between 9:30pm and 10:30pm depending on the package. The compelling argument for evening is pure atmosphere. The desert light between 5pm and 7pm in Agafay is extraordinary: warm, directional, and intensely golden, turning the ochre rock into something almost luminous. Camel rides timed to this window produce natural silhouettes against vivid skies that no filter can improve.
